STARKVILLE –
Four former Mississippi State Bulldogs begin their NFL game careers this weekend on active 53-man rosters. Mississippi State Athletics will recognize the rookies and wish them good luck with digital "From State To Sundays" billboards in their respective NFL cities this weekend.

The 100th NFL season features offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins' Green Bay Packers taking on the Chicago Bears in the league's oldest rivalry at 7:20 p.m. CT Thursday from Soldier Field. Jenkins, a once three-star recruit, developed into an All-American and claimed the Kent Hull Trophy as the state of Mississippi's top offensive lineman in his final season.

Two other All-Americans making their debuts this weekend include safety Johnathan Abram and edge rusher Montez Sweat. Abram's Oakland Raiders host the Denver Broncos at 9:20 p.m. CT Monday on ESPN. Sweat's Washington Redskins travel to Philadelphia for a noon CT Sunday kickoff on FOX. Both Abram and Sweat went "From State To Sundays" after arriving in Starkville via the junior college route.

Deion "Shaq" Calhoun went undrafted to No. 1 on the depth chart at guard. Calhoun's Miami Dolphins host the Baltimore Ravens at noon CT Sunday on CBS.

A billboard will also recognize 2019 NFL Draft No. 19 pick Jeffery Simmons in Nashville. Simmons, who is recovering from an ACL injury last winter, will begin the season on the reserve/non-football injury list. However, all signs from Tennessee officials point to Simmons being significantly ahead in his rehab with the former All-American possibly seeing the field later this season.

The "From State To Sundays" billboard schedule and locations include:

Thursday-Friday
Elgton Jenkins – Green Bay; location: Highway 172 at Oneida Street

Saturday-Sunday
Johnathan Abram – Oakland Raiders; Oakland location: Nimitz Freeway across from Oakland Coliseum
Deion "Shaq" Calhoun – Miami Dolphins; Miami location: I-95 near the Palmetto Expressway
